Lived Collective

I was honoured to have several of my works featured in Lived Collective Magazine. In their Fall/Winter 2022 Childhood Edition (V1/Issue 4), two of my pieces were showcased. The first, Strawberry Fields, was an India Ink and Watercolour painting that explored the journey of getting lost, finding magic, and rediscovering oneself. This piece reflected the internal navigation we all go through when we stray from our path but find unexpected beauty and growth along the way.

The second, Revolution, depicted the gut-wrenching moments of fear and nerves, especially during life’s pivotal challenges. It is about finding courage in the face of discomfort, even when life feels overwhelmingly difficult. It represented the bravery required to keep moving forward, despite the fears that arise, and the transformation that comes from pushing through those moments.

I was also fortunate to have my painting His Heart Wept After All These Years an India Ink piece featured in their Summer 2022 Memories Edition V1/Issue 2. This piece reflects my grandfather's grief after the loss of my grandmother—a quiet, yet profound sorrow that lingered throughout his life. It explores the depth of love and the lasting impact of loss, revealing the silent ways we carry grief.

In their 2023 Loved Edition V2/Issue 1, two more of my works were featured: I’ll Take Care of You and I Dream of You. I’ll Take Care of You is about finding that person you can finally exhale with, the one who holds space for you and offers unconditional support. It’s a reminder that there are people in the world who make it possible to lean in and feel safe. I Dream of You is about dreaming about the person you are meant to be with, someone who resonates deeply with your soul and with whom love feels both destined and transformative.

Lived Collective has been an essential platform in elevating voices around mental health and personal growth, offering a space for stories that expose the raw realities of mental health issues while emphasizing the importance of community and shared experiences. Their work has allowed me to be part of a larger conversation about mental health, healing, and the power of connection, which is something I’m truly grateful for.
