My illustrations are featured in this powerful article by the International Network of Civil Liberties Organizations (IN OUR HANDS), which explores alternatives to police involvement in mental health crisis response in Toronto. The piece highlights the need for community-led, compassionate approaches that prioritize care and safety over criminalization.

I was originally approached by Feminetas, who heard about my work through Jennifer Chambers, founder and executive director of the Empowerment Council. The Empowerment Council advocates for systemic change in mental health and addiction services, ensuring the voices of those with lived experience are at the center of decision-making. Jennifer discovered my work in a Toronto gallery, and I’m honored that it resonated with her and led to this collaboration.

Art has a unique way of making these critical conversations more accessible, and I’m grateful to contribute visuals to such an important discussion.
